Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of the BillsClear app. By using the app you agree to them.
The app
- What it does: BillsClear helps you track bills against your pay schedule and see what’s left after they clear.
- Where your data lives: on your device only. If you want to keep your data when you change or reset your phone, keep a copy using Pro’s history export.
BillsClear Pro
- What it unlocks: BillsClear Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. It unlocks the Pro features described in the app: pinned exchange rates, a second pay schedule, bill history export, and custom reminder times for each bill. The free plan keeps the full single-pay-schedule app (unlimited bills, multi-currency with daily rates, and every reminder) working indefinitely.
- Plans: yearly, with a 7-day free trial, or monthly. The app shows prices in your local currency before you buy.
- Payment: charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions, or in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Pro until the current period ends.
- Free trial: any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds: Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies.
Your bill data
- Accuracy: you’re responsible for entering correct amounts and due dates. BillsClear doesn’t connect to your bank or check a bill against any outside source.
- Not financial advice: BillsClear does arithmetic on the numbers you enter. It isn’t a bank, a lender or a source of financial advice.
Exchange rates
When your bills and pay use different currencies, BillsClear converts them using daily reference rates from a third-party feed (open.er-api.com, run by ExchangeRate-API), or a rate you’ve pinned with Pro. Reference rates are for estimates. They aren’t the rate your bank or transfer service will give you, and we don’t guarantee that they’re accurate, complete or current. If no rate is available for a currency, the app says so and leaves that amount out of the total.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the app to break the law, or to interfere with the services it connects to (Apple, Google, RevenueCat and the exchange-rate feed).
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data, or for decisions made using converted amounts. Keep an export if your bill history matters to you.
Apple and Google
- These terms are between you and ACEFINA LLC, not Apple or Google.
- Where the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version.
