Purchases

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings → Restore purchase. BillsClear checks your Apple Account or Google account for a past Pro purchase and unlocks it on this device. You aren’t charged again.

How do I cancel BillsClear Pro?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not inside BillsClear.

iPhone: Settings → your Apple Account (top of the screen) → Subscriptions → BillsClear → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Google Play app → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BillsClear → Cancel subscription.

You keep Pro until the current period ends.

Currencies

How do I show the total in a different currency?

Open Settings → Display currency. The total and the per-currency breakdown convert into it. By default it matches your pay schedule’s currency.

How do I pin my own exchange rate?

With BillsClear Pro, open Settings → Pinned exchange rates → Pin an exchange rate, choose the two currencies, and enter the rate you actually get, such as your bank’s or Wise’s. A pinned rate always wins over the daily one.

Why does a bill say “rate unavailable”?

BillsClear doesn’t have a rate for that currency yet, usually because the app hasn’t been online since you added it. Rather than guess, it leaves that bill out of the total until a rate arrives. Open the app once with a connection, or pin a rate with Pro.

Data and reminders

Where does my data live?

On your device only. BillsClear doesn’t run servers that receive your bill or pay data, there’s no bank link, and there’s no account or sign-in. Deleting the app deletes your data. See the privacy policy for the complete list of what leaves your phone.

How do I export my bill history?

Open Settings → Export bill history (a BillsClear Pro feature). BillsClear builds a CSV of every bill’s due dates and paid status and opens your phone’s share sheet, so you can save or send it wherever you like.

Why does BillsClear ask for notification permission?

So it can remind you the evening before a bill is due and summarise what’s left on payday morning. It asks once, after you’ve added your first bill, never at first launch. You can turn reminders off any time in Settings → Bill and payday reminders.

A bill I marked paid shows as unpaid again. What happened?

This shouldn’t happen. Paid state is written to your phone the moment you tap, not queued or synced, and it’s tested against the app being closed mid-use. If you see it, email us with your phone model and iOS or Android version. It’s the bug BillsClear was built to avoid, and we treat reports of it as urgent.
